‘Brown To Opt Out of Contract, Shaw to Visit Cavs’

Shannon Brown ask to opt out of his contract. He did this to get the Lakers to give him a raise. The Lakers have not signed him back yet. Then Shaw went to visit the Cavs for a interview to become the new coach. Rumors were said that he had got the job but he didn’t. Days later Byron Scott had landed the job.

‘Phil’s Health Is Fine’

CBS Sports reported Phil’s health was fine and he was able to come and coach the Lakers for the 2010-2011 NBA Season. They said if Phil did not come back, it would not be because of his health.

‘T-Mac on the Lakers?’

Bleacher Report posted on the possibilities of Tracy McGrady, 7-time all-star to come to the Lakers. The article read T-Mac was like Payton and Malone. A guy who is close to retire but wants to get a ring first. T-Mac would be a great addition to the Lakers. He’s a veteran and knows the game very well.

‘Lakers Get Caught in Free Agency Mess’

Rumors from bulls.com said that Lakers were trying to trade Odom and Bynum for Chris Bosh. It was said to be not true days later.

‘Farmar Becomes Free Agent’

Jordan had said he wanted to become a big player in the league. He wanted to be a starting point guard. He said his career hasn’t gotten anywhere in the past 4 years. I agree with him. It makes me sad to see how people want to leave for money. Why would you wanna break apart a championship team?

Lakers Get Interested in Some Players

Lakers become interested in a few players such as Earl Watson, Steve Blake, Anthony Morrow, and Tony Allen.

‘Phil Jackson Says He will return next season’

“Count me in,” said Jackson. “After a couple weeks of deliberation, it is time to get back to the challenge of putting together a team that can defend its title in the 2010-11 season. It’ll be the last stand for me, and I hope a grand one.”

‘Steve Blake Accepts 4-Year Deal with the Lakers’

Blake is going to be the Lakers backup point guard. He shot 39% from the field in the 2009-2010 season with the Blazers and Clippers. Blake will get 16 million in 4 years.

‘Lakers Summer League Roster’

Lakers 2 draft picks Devin Ebanks and Derrick Caracter are the head of the team.

‘Lakers Keep Quiet on T-Mac Negotiations’

Lakers are making negotiations to try and get Tracy McGrady on the Lakers. It might be hard because the Lakers only have $1.8 Million using the team’s mid level exception.
