Ep. 23 | “The Godfather Tribute – 40th Anniversary” | HD

April 1, 2012

Watch Here:

Description:

Known as one of the greatest films of all time, quite possibly the greatest. “The Godfather” is truly a phenomenon and a masterpiece. From the mind of Mario Puzo, the directing skills of Francis Ford Coppola, and an amazing cast such as Marlon Brandon, Al Pacino, James Caan, and others, The Godfather to this day, remains a fan favorite.

The Godfather exhibits almost all aspects of a great movie. A beautiful storyline, actors, look, clothing, action, sadness, happiness, and suspense. Also, an amazing establishment of mood and time. Marlon Brando truly puts his brilliance in acting on display in this movie. Perfectly showing how Don Corleone would act from the novel to the big screen. The iconic voice, look, and sayings. “I’m gonna make him and offer he can’t refuse”, which is ranked as the second greatest quote of all time by the American Film Institute. Al Pacino also shows his acting skills by portraying Michael Corleone, the song of the Don who didn’t want to join the family business. He went into the army then came home planning on finishing school. We all know the rest of Michael’s story if you have ever seen Part II and Part III of the Godfather Trilogy.

March 24, 2012 marked the 40th Anniversary of The Godfather original premiere. It’s been a long time, and to think it is still considered one of the greatest…

These days, it’s very hard to judge or even dislike a film like The Godfather in this generati0n. After hearing of it’s brilliance and how great it is, it’s almost impossible to dislike it. This film is truly legendary, and will always stay atop the greatest films of all time.

Review – “Brave” Trailer – 2012

March 24, 2012

Plot: Determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse. (IMDB)

Directed by: Mark Andrews, Brenda Chapman

Starring: Kelly Macdonald, Billy Connolly and Emma Thompson

Release Date: June 22, 2012

Pixar returns with it’s annual summer flick once again! BRAVE, about a princess in Scotland who is good with the bow and arrow and disobeys her parents without reason. I’m having mixed feelings about this, I mean like, John Lassetter is not directing this one, and he has directed all of the GREAT Pixar films in past years. Only one I have at the top of my mind that he didn’t direct but was beautiful was Finding Nemo. The two people directing have any been storyboard artists and in the art department and such in previous jobs and movies.

A lot of people are calling this Scottish Mulan, which in a way makes sense and is funny if you ‘ve never seen Mulan before. Well, I’m definitely gonna see this one in theaters when it comes out, like always. You should too. It’s Pixar, what can go wrong?

Review – “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2″ Teaser Trailer – 2012

March 21, 2012

This movie and trailer is strictly for fans of the series only, it is unlikely you will find this entertaining or interesting or even know what is going on, unless you read the books or saw the other movies.

Yesterday on TV, I saw a teaser for this movie, but it was a teaser to the teaser trailer, and the teaser trailer is only 15 seconds total…

Well, I heard Part 1 was pretty funny cause of it’s stupidity and effects, I don’t plan on seeing this one in theaters or anything, but yeah, you get the point. If you like the Twilight series, you’ll be happy for this teaser trailer, if not then…

Review – “Frankenweenie” Trailer – 2012

March 20, 2012

Plot: Young Victor conducts a science experiment to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life, only to face unintended, sometimes monstrous, consequences. IMDB)

Directed by: Tim Burton

Starring: Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara and Martin Short

Release Date: October 5, 2012

Very Nightmare Before Christmas or Coraline like, Tim Burton returns to direct another stop-motion feature film for our enjoyment. Based on the Frankenstein tale but when Victor was a kid and had a dog that suddenly dies, he uses science to bring it back to life. According to IMDB, Burton durected a live-action short of the same concept and name back in 1984, starring Shelley Duvall, Daniel Stern, and Barret Oliver. Obviously, since this film will be about an hour and a half longer, it will expand on the story and most likely change a lot of it. All of the stop-motion movies are always cool and entertaining for the look and style, so I am very interested in this one and definitely would love to see it in theaters. As you might have noticed, the whole trailer was in black in white. Not only is the trailer in black and white, but all fo the stills and the posters on IMDB are in black and white. This pretty much saying the movie will be in black and white, which is a nice twist.

We also have another stop-motion film coming out soon, ParaNorman, which comes out August 17 of this year from “the makers of Coraline”. Be sure to see the trailer review for that too here: http://atmentertainment.wordpress.com/2011/11/04/review-paranorman-trailer-2012/

Teaser – “Despicable Me 2″ Review – 2013

March 18, 2012

There’s nothing really to tell here except that Despicable Me is in production and will come out on July 3, 2013. This is just a teaser and the studio trying to make a laugh for the kids by making the minions sing a Beach Boys tune (?). The voice cast from the first movie is returning with additions like Al Pacino and Moises Arias. I assume Al Pacino will be the villain character. The first one was pretty cool, I didn’t expect it to be any good when I went to theaters to see it, but it was cool. We’ll just have to wait for the full length trailer to come out to even get a taste of what the movie will be about or anything really.

Review – “Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance” Trailer – 2012

February 21, 2012

Plot: As Johnny Blaze hides out in Eastern Europe, he is called upon to stop the devil, who is trying to take human form. (IMDB)

Directed by: Mark Neveldine, Brian Taylor

Starring: Nicolas Cage, Ciarán Hinds and Idris Elba

Release Date: February 17, 2012

This movie already came out, but I thought I’d review it anyways since i haven’t done it yet. Well, what can I say. I’ve already read some reviews of the movie that said it sucked badly. I just watched the first Ghost Rider movie Saturday and I was not a fan. It had bad writing, suckish cinematography, bad humor, and just a lame story. And by the looks of this trailer, it really doesn’t look like it’s gonna be any good either. I see they didn’t improve on Ghost Rider’s look, seeing as it looks like a graduate straight out of Film School animated it. It just looks like it’s gonna suck too. Here’s a top comment random Youtuber review of the movie:

“This movie was pathetic. It wasn’t a film, it was a joke. The first was great compared to this one. They went from like fifty two to negative nine. It literally was not made seriously. A nine-year-old might’ve directed the directors. The plot, the acting, and the quotes were all so terrible. The cast was fine, but I wonder if they even watched this film before even releasing it.” -SX195SID2

Review – “Abraham Lincoln: Vampie Hunter” Trailer – 2012

February 21, 2012

Plot: President Lincoln’s mother is killed by a supernatural creature, which fuels his passion to crush vampires and their slave-owning helpers. (IMDB)

Directed by: Timur Bekmambetov

Starring: Benjamin Walker, Rufus Sewell and Dominic Cooper

Release Date: June 22, 2012

This movie looks… very unique. Obviously, not historically accurate, but very unique. The trailer looked pretty cool, very dark, and action packed filmed. This one just seems like the story they’re taking on is risky, matter of fact, VERY RISKY. This is either gonna be a big hit, or a major blow to the crotch. It had some cool slow motion fight clips in the trailer. My fear is that they will go crazy and have every fight or action scene with slow motion. This one looks pretty cool and unique. I love movies that try to be different, no matter what anyone says. I’m feeling pretty good about this one. 8.5.
